The Influence of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) on the Performance and Sustainability of BMT english
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study examines the effect of implementing Good Corporate Governance (GCG) on the performance and sustainability of Baitul Maal wat Tamwil (BMT), a sharia microfinance institution. Through a systematic literature review (SLR) of empirical studies from various databases, this study identifies the main GCG mechanisms that impact BMT outcomes. The analysis reveals that effective GCG practices, including transparency, accountability, fairness, and responsibility, significantly enhance financial performance, operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability. Additionally, this study highlights the importance of sharia compliance and ethical considerations within the GCG framework of BMT. These findings emphasize the need for BMTs to prioritize the implementation of GCG to enhance stakeholder trust, attract investment, and ensure sustainable growth.
