Abstract
Abstract: This study used a phenomenological method by conducted interviews and observations during research. The results can be categorized four major themes; the aspect of decisionmaking, supporting aspects, positive aspects and the elderly satisfaction. First, the aspect of decision making itself has two sub-themes; their own choices and families decisions. Meanwhile, the second aspect, supporting, have two sub-themes; being alone and family problems. Meanwhile, the positive affect has three sub-themes; comfortable, quiet, and socialize. The last aspect, satisfaction, have sub-themes; past satisfaction, family support, current life, religiosity. In conclusion, the more they be able to fulfill the themes, the better they can achieve life satisfaction, though they life in the Panti Werdha.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui factor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kepuasan hidup pada lansia yang tinggal di panti werdha. Dalam penelitian ini diambil 60 partisipan dengan kriteriakriteria yang telah ditentukan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode fenomenologi, sehingga yang dilakukan peneliti adalah wawancara dan observasi, setelah penelitian berlangsung di dapatkan 4 tema besar, yaitu aspek pengambilan keputusan, aspek pendukung, aspek positif dan kepuasan lansia. Variabel yang ditampilkan dalam penelitian kali ini terdiri dari Kesehatan, kesempatan interaksi diluar keluarga, spiritual dan kepuasan hidup.
