Peer Review Process

KINDAI : Kumpulan Informasi dan Artikel Ilmiah Manajemen dan Akuntansi applies a peer review process to ensure that published articles meet academic standards of quality, originality, relevance, and methodological rigor. All submitted manuscripts are subject to an initial editorial screening and, if deemed suitable, a peer review process conducted by qualified reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript.

  1. Initial Editorial Screening

Upon submission, the Editor-in-Chief or an assigned editor conducts an initial assessment to determine whether the manuscript is relevant to the journal’s focus and scope and complies with the basic submission requirements. The screening includes an assessment of the manuscript’s completeness, adherence to the journal template, originality, and general academic suitability.

Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s requirements may be returned to the authors for correction or rejected without external review.

  1. Reviewer Assignment

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to reviewers whose academic expertise and research interests are relevant to the subject matter of the manuscript. Reviewers are selected based on their qualifications, research experience, and ability to provide an objective and constructive assessment.

The journal seeks to ensure that reviewers have no conflicts of interest that could compromise the fairness or objectivity of the review process.

  1. Peer Review Model

KINDAI employs a single-blind peer review model, in which reviewers can see the authors’ identities, but the authors do not know the identities of the reviewers during the review process.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts meet the journal’s submission guidelines and contain the information required for editorial and peer review. Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts, evaluate submissions objectively and professionally, and disclose any potential conflicts of interest to the editor. Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on the following criteria:

Based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the editor’s assessment, a manuscript may receive one of the following decisions:

  • Minor Revision: The manuscript requires limited revisions before a final decision can be made.
  • Major Revision: The manuscript requires substantial revisions and may be subject to further review.
  • Reject: The manuscript does not meet the journal’s standards or is unsuitable for publication.

The final editorial decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief or an authorized editor. Reviewer recommendations are considered carefully but do not automatically determine the final decision.

  1. Revision and Resubmission

Authors required to revise their manuscripts must address the reviewers’ comments and submit a revised version within the deadline specified by the editor. Authors should provide a point-by-point response explaining how each comment has been addressed. If a suggestion is not adopted, the authors should provide a clear justification.

Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation, particularly when major revisions have been requested. The editor will assess the revised manuscript and the authors’ responses before making a further decision.

  1. Confidentiality and Ethical Standards

All manuscripts submitted for review must be treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not share, reproduce, or use unpublished material for personal or professional advantage.

Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and decline assignments when they cannot provide an impartial assessment. They should also inform the editor of any concerns regarding plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, or other forms of publication misconduct.

Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to uphold the principles of academic integrity, objectivity, fairness, and confidentiality throughout the review process.

The duration of the review process may vary depending on reviewer availability, the complexity of the manuscript, and the extent of revisions required. KINDAI seeks to conduct the review process as efficiently as possible while maintaining the quality and integrity of editorial decisions.

  1. Final Publication

Manuscripts approved for publication undergo final editorial and production checks before publication. Acceptance is subject to the completion of any required revisions and compliance with the journal’s publication requirements.

The final publication decision is made by the editorial team in accordance with the journal’s editorial policies and quality standards.
