Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Management Information Systems (MIS) based on Social Media Analytics in supporting managerial decision-making in the digital era. The research method used is a literature review by examining relevant academic journals and books related to Management Information Systems, Social Media Analytics, and organizational decision-making. The findings indicate that MIS plays an important role in improving the quality of decision-making by providing accurate, relevant, and integrated information. Furthermore, the development of MIS integrated with Big Data and Artificial Intelligence enhances the system’s ability to process data more quickly and complexly. Social Media Analytics is also identified as an important external data source that enriches information within MIS. The integration of MIS and Social Media Analytics conceptually improves managerial decision-making quality by providing broader perspectives from both internal and external organizational data. The study concludes that MIS based on Social Media Analytics is a strategic approach to supporting decision-making in the digital era.
