Screening for Plagiarism Policy
BDJ Smart: Breakthrough Development Journal in Strategic Management & Marketing is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and publishing only original, ethically sound research. As part of our commitment to preventing plagiarism and ensuring the quality of the content we publish, we implement a plagiarism screening process for all submitted manuscripts.
Plagiarism Detection
- All manuscripts submitted to BDJ Smart are screened for plagiarism using reliable plagiarism detection software (such as Turnitin, iThenticate, or similar tools).
- This screening checks for copied text, paraphrased content without proper citation, and other forms of academic dishonesty.
Handling of Plagiarism Cases
- Minor Plagiarism: If a manuscript is found to have minor instances of plagiarism (e.g., improper citation or unacknowledged paraphrasing), the authors will be notified and asked to make necessary revisions before the manuscript is considered for publication.
- Major Plagiarism: If significant plagiarism is detected (e.g., large portions of the text are copied or reproduced without proper attribution), the manuscript will be rejected. Authors may be asked to revise and resubmit the manuscript if they wish to submit it to another journal.
- If the plagiarism involves a previously published paper, the manuscript will be flagged, and the authors will be required to provide proof of original content or proper permission for reuse.
Author Responsibility
- Authors are required to ensure that their work is entirely original and properly cited. All sources, including text, data, and images, must be appropriately acknowledged.
- Authors are also encouraged to use plagiarism detection tools themselves before submitting their work to ensure it meets the ethical standards of the journal.
Consequences of Plagiarism
- Any form of plagiarism, whether minor or major, is taken very seriously and may lead to the rejection of the manuscript, removal of published articles, or notification of the author’s academic institution.
- In cases of repeat or severe plagiarism, the author may be banned from submitting future work to the journal.
By adhering to this policy, we aim to maintain the integrity of BDJ Smart and contribute to the global effort to uphold high ethical standards in academic publishing.
This Screening for Plagiarism Policy ensures that the journal is transparent about how it handles plagiarism and promotes academic integrity. It outlines the tools and procedures in place to detect plagiarism and the consequences for authors who violate these standards.
